Baked figs with blue cheese & Parma Ham
Great Autumn dish when Fresh Figs are available
The blue cheese can be substituted with goat's cheese
Omit the ham for a vegetarian dish
Serves 4
Preparation Time 5 minutes
Cooking Time 10-15 Minutes

8 Fresh Figs
100g blue cheese e.g. Bleu d'Auvergne
8 slices Parma Ham or Jambon Cru
Runny Honey

1. Wash the figs and cut off stalks
2. Cut a cross 2/3 way down the figs
3. Push a chunk of the cheese into the centre of each fig
4. Wrap a slice of the ham round each fig
5. Place the figs in an oven proof dish
6. Drizzle a little honey over the top of each fig
7. Bake in a pre-heated oven 180c for 10 -15 minutes
8. The ham should be crisp and the cheese runny when done
9. Serve on their own or with a few rocket leaves
