Char Sui Pork Fillet Mignon
Authentic Chinese taste
Marinade can also be used with ribs or other cuts of pork

Ingredients
Pork Fillet Mignon, well trimmed
--- MARINADE
1.5 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp chinese 5 spice powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp red food colouring (optional)


Method
Mix together all of the marinade ingredients
Place the pork in a suitable container and coat with the marinade
Cover and refridgerate for 24 hours
Heat the oven to 180°c
Cover a grill pan with foil to catch drips
Place the meat on the grill and cook in the oven for 25 minutes
Turn the meat a few times and baste with the marinade during cooking
Turn the oven to grill and grill for 5 minutes, turning half way through
and keep the pork well coated with the marinade
Allow to rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving
